The creation of the UP3 (chain A) and UP2 800 processing-recycling
plants was authorized by decree on May 12, 1981. The main fuel processing
and waste conditioning workshops (figure 1) were commissioned at regular intervals
between 1986 for the first fuel storage pools and 2001 for the final
