Reinforced concrete structures can corrode after years of use. A diagnosis is needed to determine the nature, extent and location of the damage. For structures with a mechanical function, a recalculation is useful to determine whether it is appropriate to carry out actions such as :

• set up surveillance ;

• apply rehabilitation or reinforcement ;

• replace these structures, in whole or in part.

The choice of these actions is left to the discretion of the project owner, as there is no standard regulating these aspects.
