While the list of potential failures affecting the components
of a solar power plant is extensive—especially for the modules—fortunately,
there are methods and best practices available to minimize reliability
issues.
The first step is to ensure that the expertise and quality control
of the photovoltaic component manufacturer(s) are properly managed
and monitored. We have seen that poor control of the manufacturing
process or the use of unsuitable materials can lead to rapid degradation
of photovoltaic modules. It is therefore essential to ensure that
