4. Heavy-duty sheet metal management
When a customer places an order with a supplier, he signs a purchase contract. The producer undertakes to deliver, at the agreed price and by the agreed deadline, a product that conforms in every respect to the order: this is the order acknowledgement.
Note: if it was conceivable to manage a 15,000 t/month order book manually with the old trains, it would be utopian to try to cope with productions of 80,000, 100,000 t or more of sheet metal per month with "ballpoint pens".
Only a fully integrated computerized management system can be built, with the management computer, the centerpiece of this organization, linked to the workshop terminals, with which it exchanges information. Figure
