Radioactivity of blast furnace slag - Impact on their use in construction

The ores consumed by Dunkirk are homogenized; ship cargoes are unloaded in superimposed layers to form stockpiles, which are then taken back by slice to feed the three blast furnaces in the smelting department.

A stockpile represents a week's consumption. At the blast furnace, slag is taken at each pour. We collected slag samples from HF4, the plant's largest, between 1 ^er June and December 31, 2015.
