4.1.1 Recycling arguments
Faced with this need to produce more scrap metal, the recycling industries now have a strong economic argument to develop, in terms of both quality and quantity. This has already led to the exploitation of new, hitherto neglected sources of capital goods or production waste containing iron (machining sludge, bottom ash, tire cord, etc.).
