2. Surface preparation
An electro-galvanizing range consists of three distinct but complementary sequences:
a preparation sequence, a combination of degreasing and stripping treatments to make the surface "clean" and hydrophilic;
an electro-galvanizing sequence, made up of reactors (electrolytic tanks) that form the heart of the line;
a finishing sequence consisting in forming a conversion to improve the corrosion resistance of the electrolytic coating, for example.
Located at the beginning of the range of treatments, the preparation sequence - a series of routine operations in the surface treatment industry - is of paramount importance.
