2. Zn-X codeposits
Contrary to what the values of the standard potentials of the metal couples considered (Table 1) might suggest, zinc, with the lowest standard potential, is preferentially deposited under most electrodeposition conditions. The electrodeposition of Zn-X alloyed zincs, with X = Fe, Co, Ni, is therefore classified as anomalous codeposition. This type of electrodeposition has been widely described in the literature
