Whatever the process ( § 1 , § 2 , § 3 ), some basic operations have the same functions, but are applied using different technologies.

• Surface preparation

  The main aim is to clean the steel surface of exogenous dirt (dust, oil, abrasion fines) and endogenous dirt (oxides).

  Depending on the process, a fluxing step can be added to improve and regulate steel/zinc reactivity.

  These operations determine the quality of the interface (regularity, distribution of alloys) and, consequently, contribute to the final adhesion...
