Composite materials have become industrial products in their own right, not only because of their applications, but above all because of the means used to make them competitive with traditional materials in the mass-market sector.

The problem of producing a part does not end with its development in a given process, but must take into account all the upstream and downstream resources required to make the product economically viable, as is the case with traditional materials.

A production line must therefore be considered, but it would be extremely unreliable to put forward investment costs for a process (see article [A 3 721] ) without knowing the total cost. Similarly, it would be illusory to talk about the approximate cost of a mold without knowing the type...
