3. Structural properties

3.1 Crystallographic study of Sm2Fe17 phases–xGax

The angular positions of the main Sm₂Fe diffraction peaks_17–xGa_x show a crystallographic structure characteristic of the 2/17 space group phase $R \bar{3} m$ .

X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns are refined using the Rietveld method with the FULLPROF calculation code. This method can also be used to determine the size of self-consistent diffraction domains.
