4. Cold forming
After annealing, shot blasting, and pickling—processes designed to produce a softened alloy free of surface oxide—the product is ready for cold working at room temperature through rolling, wire drawing, or drawing.
4.1 Cold rolling and finishing of flat products
It is generally performed on Sendzimir-type reversible multi-roll mills (Figure 15 ). The mill stand consists of about twenty rolls, with the two small rolls located at the center performing the rolling.
