, industrial X-ray tomography is a NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) technique which consists in reconstructing an internal map of the attenuation of X-rays by the material from multiple attenuation measurements acquired from several angles spread over 360°; each angle of view delivering what is called an attenuation projection.
The term tomography is derived from the Greek word "tomos", meaning "cut" or "section". Tomography therefore refers to the technique of acquiring and analyzing an object in successive slices....
