Adhesive; adhesive

Synthetic liquid used for bonding.

Plywood

A flat piece of wood obtained by gluing 1 to 2 mm thick veneers together and criss-crossing them for improved, uniform mechanical strength.

Moulded plywood; curved plywood

Plywood with one or more curved shapes, particularly suitable for seating.

Moule; mold (mold USA)

The mold consists of two blocks (male and female) of wood or metal, installed in a platen press. The surface is curved, allowing the plywood to be shaped by gluing.

High frequency bonding; Pressage à haute fréquence

A pressing method in which the heating energy is supplied by a high-frequency electrical transmitter. The system is in resonance, and variations in the electric field of the capacitor in the mold transfer energy to the glue, which heats up and hardens rapidly.
