A set of techniques that use mirrors or lenses to concentrate solar radiation onto a specific point. This concentrated energy is then used to generate heat, which is converted into electricity through a thermodynamic cycle.

Heat transfer fluid ; fluide caloporteur

A substance that carries heat from the solar receiver to the storage system or electricity generator. Commonly used heat transfer fluids in concentrated solar power plants include thermal oils, molten salts, air, and water.
