2. Cowper technology
The cowper consists of an active refractory lining surrounded by insulation, all contained in a pressure-resistant metal or sheet metal enclosure.
A burner heats the stack, and a set of valves allows you to switch from one phase to another in the operating cycle without ever cutting off the wind to the blast furnace.
