3. Aluminium fire resistance
Common metals and alloys such as aluminum alloys and steels are classified (note 13) as "MO". This means that, under fire conditions, these materials cannot give rise to combustion (note 14).

aluminum powder (and other metals) behaves in a totally different way, as it is highly flammable due to its fine division. It is a pyrotechnic product.
