2. Complexity of the problem to be solved (to design a die)
We begin by explaining the principles of spinning, profiles and dies, which are the subject of our analysis. This is followed by a description of all the common problems encountered in extrusion, on which the die has a major impact. This gives an initial idea of the complexity of their design. We conclude with a statement on the coupling between aluminum flow and die performance, and its consequences for design ideas and concepts.
