3. Specialty rubbers

3.1 Chlorinated polyethylene (CM)

Chlorinated polyethylene is obtained by radical chlorination of high-density polyethylene, with chlorine fixation being statistical. Chlorine content ranges from 25 to 42%. Its structure is shown in figure 16 .
