2. Specific implementation methods

We have seen that most thermoplastics can be filled with short glass or carbon fibers. Polymers intended for technical applications are preferably reinforced in this way: PA, poly(oxymethylene) POM, PAS, (polyarylsulfone), PES (polyethersulfone)... These materials can be injected or extruded using the equipment, tools and techniques normally employed with unfilled plastics, and which are the subject of specialized articles in this treatise.

On the other hand, original techniques have been developed for processing long-fibre composites. The description of these specific methods obviously occupies an important place in the "Composites" section.
