1.1 Influence of solidified thickness on filling pressure and flow rate

When filling the cavity of an injection mold, a solid sheath forms near the walls (y(t), figure 1 ). This solidification is likely to significantly reduce the thickness available for flow (average liquid vein h(t), figure 1 ).
