Dense phase CO2 cleaning: An alternative solution to the use of solvents

In France, CETIM has been interested in cleaning with dense CO₂ under pressure since the 2010s. In 2012, supported by the CEA, an OEM manufacturer of dense pressurized CO₂ machines emerged to invest in the replacement market for perchlorethylene in the mechanical industry: the company DFD SA.

• The technical journal EIN (L'Eau l'Industrie, les Nuisances) mentions in 2015 the delivery of a first machine for a screw-cutting manufacturer in the Arve Valley (74). ECLIDE, a manufacturer of polymer micro-parts less than 3 mm in diameter, uses CO₂ SC as a replacement process for perchloroethylene
