5.1.1 Magnesium-aluminium-zinc alloys
In these alloys, ageing improves the yield strength by only slightly modifying the breaking load, but by significantly reducing the values of elongation at break. It also significantly improves the value of the internal damping coefficient. The values obtained are strongly influenced by the degree of solution setting. The best results are obtained when the solution is practically perfect.
