3.1.1 Dilution factor
The value of the dispersion coefficient D can be used as an initial criterion for classifying continuous flow injection techniques. Depending on the application, different degrees of dispersion will be sought, but it should be noted that too great a dispersion factor usually results in a loss of sensitivity of the method. The following cases can be distinguished:
