1. Method principle
The aim is to assess the balance's performance, and therefore its uncertainty. In accordance with Cofrac accreditation technical guide LAB GTA 95 (see "Find out more"), the calibration method comprises several stages:
1) Perform metrological tests: accuracy, eccentricity and repeatability;
2) determine the uncertainties of the errors of indication U (E
I
);
3) Determine the scale uncertainty U (IP) using the results of step 2, taking into account the operating and working conditions of the scale.
