2. Transmitting antennas

Radiated field metrology, such as the immunity or susceptibility tests described in [R 932] , requires the use of wide-frequency band antennas. Typically, disjointed antennas covering two (or more) contiguous frequency bands are adopted. For example, one antenna will cover the interval 30 MHz – 100 MHz, a second the interval 100 MHz – 1 GHz, a third 1 GHz – 10 GHz. Each segment belonging to one of the three decades implies a specific antenna technology.
