Consider a function x(t). The objective is now to approximate this function by Ψ wavelets_{n, k}(t) so that we can write : $x (t) = \sum_{n = - \infty}^{+ \infty} \sum_{k = - \infty}^{+ \infty} d_{k, n} Ψ_{n, k} (t)$
