Estimating the repeatability limit

Standard 5725-1 defines the repeatability limit as the value below which, with 95% probability, the absolute value of the difference between two test results obtained under repeatability conditions lies.

For example, for two measurement results obtained under repeatability conditions, their deviation must remain less than 2.8. S _r ,for 3 to 3.3. S _r . This limit is used to identify aberrant measurement results.
