Laser hazards Laser beam and no laser beam hazards

During laser work, the beam may interact with the skin and/or eyes. The surface area of the skin is approximately 1.5 m ² , but in general the accessible surfaces are limited to the face and hands. The size of the beam (usually a few cm ² ) and the eye (of the order of a cm ² ) reduce the probability of interaction. However, this "natural" protection is insufficient to prevent loss of vision.
