3. Demonstrate correlation / method transfer
This is an essential step when changing supplier/equipment, if only to manage the precedence of results. Its purpose is to determine the overall difference between two methods. This comparison can be made in a number of different ways, each providing its own information.
3.1 Techniques for examining the behavior of individual specimens
One example is the Bland Altman graph, which simply indicates the differences observed between the two methods. Limits (also known as Tracking Standards) can be bibliographed or defined by the following formula: NS = +/- root (3*σ 2 method A + 3*σ 2 method B).
