In accelerometry, the mid-frequency range extends from 10 Hz to 10,000 Hz.
We describe the various calibration methods, first absolute, then relative, and present a rough outline of the uncertainty calculation for each.
A calibration is said to be absolute when the composite input variable, in this case acceleration, is calculated by measuring each of its primary components. In the case of acceleration, which is expressed in meters per square second, both length and time (frequency) are measured.
