Geometric database: constructed elements

The geometric database can be enriched with new geometric elements of the point, line and plane type, constructed geometrically by geometric elements contained in the database. In these construction operations, measured surfaces are only seen through their representation in the database, i.e. through points, lines and planes. For example, the intersection of a cylinder and a plane will not produce a circle, an ellipse or two parallel lines, but a geometric element of the point type, obtained by the intersection of the "cylinder axis" line and the plane.

Construction operations essentially involve vector calculation, which defines the parameters of new elements by means of algebraic relationships between the position and orientation parameters of the geometric elements in the database.
