Pneumatic power transmission is a simple technology, the price of which has fallen sharply in recent decades. This has been achieved not only by reducing the amount of material used to manufacture cylinders, but also by choosing materials that are more economical and easier to produce. These optimizations must not, however, compromise the durability of pneumatic components. Materials must be strong enough to ensure a service life of several million cycles in different production environments.
