Hydrostatic transmission circuits

National and international standards define the symbols to be used to represent the various components of hydraulic circuits.

The reference documents are AFNOR standards NF ISO 1219-1 and NF ISO 1219-2.

The rules for tracing circuits are set out in standard NF ISO 1219-2, an extract of which is shown in figure 1 .

To simplify understanding of the diagrams used in the following paragraphs, we have drawn up a table of symbols taken from standard NF ISO 1219-1 (table 1 ). Some other symbols are described in more detail in
