Experience shows that, in order not to exceed friction coefficients of 0.005 for lift pressures ranging from 10 ⁵ to 10 ³ Pa, the theoretical flying height must be of the order of 5 × 10 ² to 5 × 10 ^–1 mm depending on the state of the sliding surface. The power then varies according to the desired flight height and the size and number of cushions.
