1. Bearing characteristics

For each dimensionally standardized needle roller bearing, the standard is given at the beginning of each paragraph.

1.1 Jointed needles and crowns (ISO 6193/ ISO 3096 standards)

In some assemblies, the small space required for the bearings and the high forces involved mean that jointed needles can be used without any retaining system (Figure 3), the length of which can be chosen according to the required basic load 2.2
