3.1 Model presentation
Sprag-slip was first formalized by Spurr in 1961. via analysis of the behavior of a contact model between a rigid articulated beam of mass m brought into contact in an inclined position (angle θ with respect to the horizontal) with a flat surface animated by a constant sliding velocity V0 (figure 17).
