Real Driving Emissions (RDE). Issues and challenges

Road mobility is the driving force behind economic development and one of the fundamental aspects of social cohesion, as it allows everyone freedom of movement/circulation, with all its attendant benefits: easy access to a variety of jobs, public services, holidays/leisure activities and so on. Unfortunately, this freedom of movement doesn't come on its own. Agglomeration (heavy traffic), road accidents, environmental degradation and human health (figure 1) are also effects of road mobility.
