The evaluation of heat flows on the wall of a combustion chamber can be carried out in a similar way to that of the blades (cf. ).

Figure 1 shows the heat flows acting on the chamber wall. Those entering are due to radiation R ₁ and hot gas convection C ₁ , while the outer side of the wall yields heat flow to the convective cooling system C ₂ , by radiation R ₂ towards the envelope due to the large surfaces involved and the low value of the outer wall temperatures.
