3. Automatic welding motion

The aim is to ensure relative movement between the welding torch (MIG - MAG - TIG - plasma - powder flux - submerged strip) and the edges to be welded or the surface to be recharged or coated.
There are three possibilities:
a) move the welding torch only ;
b) move the workpiece, keeping the torch stationary;
c) move the workpiece and torch.
We won't discuss the criteria for choosing between these three possibilities here. The solution may be immediate, but it can also be complex, for example in the case of a large number of small welds to be made on a part with a non-simple geometry.
