vacuum technology
Technology covering all solutions for producing, regulating and measuring vacuum. It enables access to pressures below atmospheric and has numerous industrial applications. This technology involves the creation of sealed enclosures, from which gases are extracted. This extraction creates a vacuum in the sealed enclosures, which is what is commonly referred to as "the vacuum".
metallography
Technique for determining the microstructure of a metal by observing it with an optical microscope. In this way, we can determine the nature of the structure, the distribution of phases, grain size and shape, the nature and content of inclusions, the presence of any heat treatment, the direction of glide lines (intersection of glide planes with the surface), and so on.
