Turning/milling concept
The concept of turning/milling covers a number of machining processes using a combination of a milling cutter and a rotating workpiece. This technique is mainly used to machine various types of eccentric parts, flat, conical and cylindrical surfaces, as well as grooves and bores.
Turning/milling requires a machine tool equipped with certain functions and several axes. These may be machining or turning centers, specially adapted lathes, milling machines, boring machines or special machines.
