3.1 Welding parameters
It is essential to control welding machines either by controlling pressures or by adjusting strokes.
Pressure control is reserved for large weld areas of over 300 mm 2 and wall thicknesses of at least 2 mm.
Stroke adjustment is useful for thin wall thicknesses and small surfaces, but especially for materials with high melt viscosity, such as most crystalline polymers.
