3.1.1 Definitions
It is essential to control welding machines either by controlling pressures or by adjusting strokes.
Pressure control is reserved for large weld areas of over 300 mm

and wall thicknesses of at least 2 mm.
Stroke adjustment is useful for thin wall thicknesses and small surfaces, but especially for materials with high melt viscosity, such as most crystalline polymers.
