Bolted Flange Assemblies

Mechanical connections consisting of flanges, a gasket, and bolts, ensuring the structural continuity of the system and a leak-tight seal under pressure.

Class

An alphanumeric designation used for reference purposes, based on a combination of mechanical and dimensional characteristics of a component in a piping system. It consists of the word “Class” followed by a dimensionless integer. This definition is derived from the standard EN 1759-1 .

Metal-to-metal contact

A configuration in which rigid flange surfaces come into contact, limiting compression of the gasket and stabilizing the mechanical behavior of the assembly.
