Braking technology

For passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, the main braking system is hydraulically operated on all the vehicle's wheels, while parking braking can be provided by a mechanical device integrated into the front or rear disc brakes for vehicles equipped with four disc brakes; for mixed equipment (disc, drum), parking braking is provided by the drum brakes.

For other vehicles (trucks and others), there are no rules.
