4. Conclusion
To be effective, structural design using the finite element method requires the utmost care in the modeling phase. The accuracy of the results depends not only on the quality of the model, but also on the mesh used.
It is therefore advisable to carry out a convergence study based on a comparison of results from meshes of varying degrees of refinement.
Finally, to validate the results, a displacement and stress analysis must be carried out to ensure that the initial assumptions (small displacements and linear material behavior) are not compromised.
