Gearbox synchronizers. Features

Gearboxes are mechanical structures composed of fixed and rotating parts. They link the three main parts of the transmission (figure 1 ). The synchronized side of the transmission consists of the disengaged clutch disc, the gearbox input shaft and the associated gears. The synchronizing side contains the rotating elements of the gearbox, and all the rest of the transmission, right down to the vehicle's wheels. The gearshift mechanism consists of rods and forks driven either by hand via a linkage, or by robotized actuators.
