1. Missions
Cofrac, the French Accreditation Committee, a non-profit association governed by the law of 1er July 1901, was set up on April 29, 1994 at the initiative of the public authorities, with the support of professional organizations and consumer associations. By decree no. 2008-1401 dated December 26, 2008, it was designated as the sole accreditation body in France.
Under its statutes, Cofrac (logo in figure 1) has the following objectives:
