table is constructed in a rather unusual way, since the variable appears in the body of the table, while the function appears in its margins. The reason for this is the extremely slow variation of the function for large values (positive or negative) of the variable. Constructing the table in this way enables linear interpolation between the values t = – 3.090 2 and t = + 3.090 2.
The probability P should be read using the left or right margin for the first two decimal places, and the top line for the 3rd decimal place.
