6-port network analyzers

Figure7 shows the basic structure of a broadband 6-port vector network analyzer designed at the French national metrology laboratory LNE . It consists of two 6-port networks, fed by a radio frequency signal generated by a broadband synthesizer. This amplified and filtered signal is applied to a power divider whose two outputs are in phase quadrature.
